hi, i’m charlotte
I’m a graduate of USC’s Film and Television Production program, where I studied writing, directing, and acting. Growing up, I worked at the bookstore my mom manages, skipped school to get RL Stine’s autograph, and wrote fanfic as a cat from the Warriors series on Neopets (yes, I still play).
As a creative, I work on woman-driven stories across format. Most recently, I narrated 100 Lifetimes of Us, by Maggie Gates, available March 25th on Audible (produced by Tantor Media). Prior, I’ve edited content for Snapchat, was the showrunner’s assistant for Hulu’s Dollface, and worked as the writers’ assistant on Amazon’s Cruel Intentions TV reboot.
In my work, I love blending high/low culture to tell stories about impetuous young women– their obsessive friendships, messy romances, and the moral gray areas in which they operate in pursuit of their dreams.
This past year, my 1910s Sex and the City-style hour-long television pilot placed in the top 8 scripts in Slamdance’s annual Screenplay Contest, and second in Script Pipeline’s First Look Screenplay Contest, among others.
Currently, I’m running the Silver Lake Reservoir, in the booth recording, playing Fortnite, or finishing the final edit of my upcoming YA novel, Influenced, a satire of the college admissions process.
